F1RST BLOG EVER!!!

So this is the first blog that I have ever posted in my life. I am sort of excited and stressed about it at the same time! What, with all the gadgets and craziness to add-I do not know where to start! I am a full-time student at Parkland College and I am trying to work part time to stay afloat. Aside from all the personal stuff, I have to post graphic design images that I like or attract me to them and mention where I found the image, what it stands for, dicuss its quality, and describe its function.

"Push Pin"

I chose this image from Graphis Design Annual 2007 Edition.  The design is executed by Gabrielle Lewin for Kikkerland, Inc.  What I like most about this image is that its a new design to an everyday product.  The push pin is almost never seen in this light; pushing through an olive set in a martini glass.  It looks like the teacher had a hard day!

    What is the product that the ad or image is selling or representing? A Vodka?

    I think that it was a sharp idea. Using a push pin instead of a toothpick. I wonder how some people come up with the ideas that they do.
